Old Loots: Miscellaneous Gundam Seed Stuff

Ok, some other Gundam stuff that I found lying here and there.. Will continue to update this page when I find more treasures from the past.

Birdy's omiages from Taiwan

Cagalli & Kira's charms

Old Loots: Gundam Seed Chara Puchi Collection

This is one of the cutest sets in the collection, with the humans are sitting on a Haro each. Its similar to the OP Charagoroln where the crew are featured sitting on globes.

Don't really like the Kira duplication thou. Y not Dearka or Nicol!? Or a Haro on top of another Haro!?

Cagalli is sooo cute~~ (ok u may ignore me here...)

Old Loots: Haro Collection `04 Summer Edition

Hmm.. most probably the cute factor, of having so many Haros in so many designs at one place.

Is still in good condition after the years. And the ears can be flapped open or close!

Old Loots: Gundam Seed Haro Figure Collection 2

Another old MegaHouse set, released in Nov 2005 and is having the same problems as the earlier set.

Pretty tough to clean off the sticky substance on the base as well. Any ideas how to??

Old Loots: Gundam Seed Haro Figure Collection 1 New Colour Ver

A very old set from MegaHouse, in variant colors as you may notice from the clear plastics that is used for parts of the hair and clothes, and which is facing a very very bad case of plasticination.

My Lacus doesn't stay on her stand anymore (not that she does it well when she first arrive), her head drops with every minor movement, all the bases need each other to support their respective figure, and the stands are not balanced!!!

I'm not shooting other angles cos... I'm lazy to keep catching and fixing back the fallen limbs and body parts..

Very bad set.. to think that it costs so much ($50? $70? Only rem it was a limb and a leg worth) initially..

Another one of those super a lot of boxes to open like the Tane Colle series but I cant remember exactly the reason for buying this.

Cos of the full fleet of Gundam Seed / Seed Destiny mobile suits?

Or Cagalli factor??

Hmmm....

A better view of the humans.

Old Loots: Cagalli Yula Athha Voice I-Doll

Profile of Cagalli Yula Athha just in case you do not know who I had been mumbling about for the past 10,000 posts..

This is the biggest Cagalli model I have, standing at close to the height of a MG Freedom, including base and a battery operated one, with some recorded phases from the anime which will be looped upon the press of a button.

It was pretty expensive at that time if my memory serves me right. Was a hesitation purchase. But still bought. Haha~

Old Loots: Gundam Characters 3

3rd set of the series, with some pretty nice pose designs here.

Love the Shinn and his sisters' hide-and-seek pose, as well as Dearka's pose. And Cagalli's in her pilot suit which she wore while piloting Strike Rogue! Nice score there for the designer to protray the feminine side of the female pilots~

Here's a look at the sis. :D

Old Loots: Gundam Characters 1

Weeeeee~ Cagalli in her suit!! The depiction of Athrun and her are from the scene where Athrun slipped a ring on her finger! Hoho!

The 3 main couples of Gundam Seed Destiny are present, just that... what is Rey doing there alone??

Some plasticination problems setting in , the clear rubberised base has also became yellow over the years but otherwise still ok~

Old Loots: Character Studio - Cagalli Yula Athha

A 2006 MegaHouse release that is the "Nendoroid" of those times.

There's 2 other dresses that Cagalli can be changed into, as well as the matching limbs for those outfits. I'm lazy to change them so its just a picture of the outfit I have her in in my cabinet.

See Figure-Database for the different looks if you want to.

Old Loots: Gundam Seed Heroines 7

Got this set from Taiwan way back on my first trip over in wat, 2006? It has been in the box all the way since till somewhere around last year where I finally took them out to display in my already squeezed cabinet.

Obviously an impulse buy since I actually already have the Cagalli for this set in office and the rest are just so-so.

Cant rem the impulse. Probably cos its cheap.. Hmmm...

Old Loots: Gundam Seed Heroines 6

Set 6 of the Gundam Heroines series, launched way back in Nov 2005 by Bandai, has probably the prettiest clothing of all.

Firstly Cagalli in her wedding gown, Lacus in a toned-down dress which she wore while managing Archangel (if I got it correct after so many years), the appearance of Meer Campbell and we have the Hawke sisters in their casual clothes probably on a shopping trip.

Other than Haro that keeps dropping, the semi-transparent piece of Cagalli's gown which I'm still not sure where exactly to place it, and the Hawke sisters not standing very stably, I have no complaints for this set! :D

Old Loots: Seed Heroines 5 - Cagalli Yula Athha

A May 2005 Bandai set. Only bought Cagalli to display in office. Just brought it back..

Aww, she looks good in uniform!

Old Loots: Gundam Seed Heroines 3

A Dec 2004 set from Bandai, which as per the name suggest, is an all-female set that is probably reaching out to the typical otakus.

Actually, only Cagalli and Lacus's pose are nice here. The rest are too normal..

Old Loots: Gundam Seed Destiny Petit Studio 2

A 2005 2nd set of the series release from MegaHouse that is still oh-so-cute!

Notice no Cagalli? Yup yup! I bought it bcos of... Shinn!! Wahahhahha~~ He is so so so cute here!

Old Loots: One Piece Straps

Another set from AFA2009. Cant really remember the name of the set.

Loves the Duval and Sanji pair. Haha!

Old Loots: One Piece Ring Ring Swing

Should be one of the gashapon loots from AFA 2009 where they had bigger discounts for the more sets purchased. The heads works like a rattle making some noise when you shake it.

Yups. Impulse buys. Had to get some corkboard from Daiso to hang them up the side of my cupboard..

Onward to 2011!

Left KY, Right my brainless writings

As the year draws to a close, with a bit of reluctance somehow, bidding it goodbye and saying hello to another year of wisdom and experience.

Was pulled by Wendy days ago to her workplace where they had the annual draw-your-wishes-on-I-doubt-its-environmentally-frenly-inflatable-balls-and-release-them-into-the-river-for-an-arts-installation thingy. She got us one of those where we spent like 30 min doing mindless drawing, note: really mindless crap, doodles on the whole ball (others co-share on one ball)..

I only thot of 止 instead of 頂 after submitting.. that panel's co-drawn for JY as Wendy ran off somewhere after one panel. The Huat's from KY.

Mine with an out-of-place building that I drew over Wendy's super huge $ sign. Could have drawn a pencil instead. Haha~ The other one's Wendy's panel.

May 2011 be as good as the Rabbit sayangs the Dog.

(Oh Yes! I'm done backposting 2010!!~)

Old Loots: Dragon Ball x One Piece x Naruto Unrivaled 3x3 Figure

Left Island: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji
Middle Island: Sasuke, Naruto, Kakashi & Kyūbi no Yōko
Right Island: Vegeta, Sun Goku, Piccolo

Got these during one of the sale periods from Latendo thinking that it actually has the full set.

NO!!

There's only 10 boxes, but 4 x 3 islands = 12 pieces! Din do my maths properly.. Costed me in the region of $50, and I had the bad luck to have a duplicate of Piccolo and NO Sun Goku and the main piece is not from OP! *Rawrr!*

*Note: The Sun Goku was purchased from one of those shops in Japan. They din have the other main pieces thou.

Old Loots: Chimakore Gundam 6 SEED Destiny 2

Top left: Heine Westenfluss, Talia Gladys, Yzak Joule, Meer Campbell, Meyrin Hawke, Lunamaria Hawke
Bottom left: Shinn Asuka, Stella Loussier, Athrun Zala, Cagalli Yula Athha, Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne

Last of the Chimakore series. Loads of brownish grub on Cagalli's wedding dress and greenish stuff on Yzak's hair which I rubbed off with antiseptic tissues (thankfully this works).

Jun 2006? Increased to $28..

Old Loots: Chimakore Gundam 5 SEED Destiny 1

Top left: Rey Za Burrel, Gilbert Burandal, Neo Roanoke, Sting Oakley, Auel Neider
Bottom left: Athrun Zala, Cagalli Yula Athha, Stella Loussier, Shinn Asuka, Lunamaria Hawke

Part 5 of the Chimakore Gundam series, obviously I only started Part 4 due to Cagalli (again), first of the Seed Destiny series.

Dec 2004? $24..

Old Loots: Chimakore Gundam 4 SEED 2

Top left: Nicol Amalfi, Yzak Joule, Dearka Elsman, Andrew Waltfeld, Trio of Shani Andras (Forbidden Gundam), Orga Sabnak (Calamity Gundam) and Clotho Buer (Raider Gundam)
Bottom left: Cagalli Yula Athha, Athrun Zala, Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne and Miriallia Haw

Another series of chibi-fied Gundam Seed folks with a sticker of their quotes on the base. Big heads, big eyes, small bodies..

Kawaii~

This is probably a 2004 release if I'm not wrong, costing less than $30. Inflation kills!

GSC Nendoroid 121 - Saber: Super Movable Edition

My 2nd loot from Latendo's Xmas Sale!

Hoho. Actually I kinda bullied them into giving me the discount :p :p

Woohoohooo~

Lucky Star X Street Fighter Nendoroid Puchi

I am a weakling (note: sucker) to sales (and discounts).

Thus explains the pile of books I got from Kino just bcos I had the membership card. Hoho.

Latendo held a 20% Xmas Sale starting today and there I go appearing at their store and exited with..

Lucky Star x Street Fighter Nendoroid Petits! (And something else which will come in some later post)

Old Loots: CharaColleCan - Zoro A & Zoro B

These are probably my first One Piece / Zoro items. Got them at Latendo when it was still at Sunshine Plaza and when I was still crazy over Gundam Seeds.

I rem I got it bcos it was going at $2 each! Hoho. And I dun really noe who he is other than he is some sword-wielding fella (3 katanas somemore!)

These had been camping at my office table for quite a few years until the recent renovation where I stuffed it into the cabinet and finally is willing to bring them home and chuck it somewhere again.

Old Loots: One Piece Charagoroln

An Aug 2005 release from Plex, which I got it over Ebay sometime back in 2010?

Ah well, I had only Zoro initially since purchasing him individually from a comic shop 3000 years back. Now with the whole set, hmm.. Nami's face doesnt look normal..

And I DROPPED SANJI!!! HE SPLIT FROM THE GLOBE!!! Ahhhhh.....

Old Loots: One Piece イメ-ジトレジャ-ズ

Believed I bought these at Latendo while they were having some store-wide discount.

A very old (2005) set from Megahouse, they're a bit smaller than I expect thou. And each set is packed in a plastic Going Merry head, which is meant to be sold as gashapon.

Old Loots: Co-Starring of Dream!! Dragon Ball Z x One Piece Wave 2

Bought these together with Wave 1 at AFA 2009.

Old Loots: Co-Starring of Dream!! Dragon Ball Z x One Piece Wave 1

Grabbed this and Wave 2 at AFA 2009 where they were going for $45 each box.

Real impulse buy. I still have the extras to offload and the bases are too space consuming!

Bleah!

How Nendoroids are Made

All credits goes to Mikatan, who took a trip to China to visit the nendoroid factory and gave us an insight of the manufacturing process.

Mikatan's Factory Field Trip! - Part 1
Mikatan's Factory Field Trip! - Part 2
Mikatan's Factory Field Trip! - Part 3

I ish amazed. VERY AMAZED..

There's so much manual work involved but the end products look like they simply came off some machinery.

∑(O_O；)Shock！！

This makes me take a closer look at my nendies, appreciate them more and take better care of them.

And why does it actually tempts me to buy more nendies?!?

Xmas Lights 2010

Headed over to Orchard Road during my off day to look at the ever-disappointing lightings to see what kind of disappointment I'll get this year.

Oh I believe this was actually part of my trip-to-Orchard-Road-for-Kino-and-look-at-lightings. Brought back a ton of books again.

Old Loots: One Piece Collection Sneaking In! Impel Down!!

Requested this set for my birthday gift exchange back in 2009. The first of the many Impel Down features. Robin and Zoro are out of place in this set since they've already been teleported to other islands by Kuma at the end of the Sabaody arc!

Old Loots: One Piece Collection Landing! Sabaody Archipelago!!

The adventures of Mugiwara crew on Sabaody Islands. Law and Kid makes their first appearance in the SD series.

I would have preferred the inclusion of Duval thou, since Luffy is riding on one of his flying fishes!

Old Loots: One Piece Collection Thriller Bark Night

Got these over Ebay and I'm 80% sure that it's a boot!! Damn!

Had a real hard time fixing them up as some of the joints doesnt fit well, which is characteristic of bootlegs. The colors on them are quite off.

Let alone the lousy printings on the character cards that are in the boxes.

The box looks quite normal from the outside but the packaging inside is kinda oversized!

Argh! Have to open my eyes and read the descriptions carefully the next time. Especially those that comes from HK/China!

Old Loots: One Piece Collection Grand Pirates

Got this out-of-production set from CandyToyo, which came in a Ta-Q Bin (or something) delivery service.

This is the first Super Deformed set that featured Brooke, Edward Newgate, Marshall D. Teech and Monkey D. Garp.

And the Mini Merry II that Nami is riding on is just so cute~ Not forgetting the Mini Thousand Sunny that Chopper is on as well~

STGCC 2010

The mark that costs $15 and grants me passage in and out of the hall.
(If you look ever so carefully, you can find the robot shooting some poison into my veins. No wonder I'm able to find something to buy..)

Made a very last min hastily arranged trip over to STGCC 2010 after procrastinating for most part of the weekend until someone popped the question. And also, there's a book fair and a book sale somewhere around the corner so that's killing quite a few birds together~

Old Loots: One Piece Diorama World Part 3

Bought this over at Earth-X together with the Vs Figures.

I just love how the whole diorama is so colorful! But due to aging/poor quality/watever, the dragon/monster painting behind had to be stuck on using superglue or uhu glue as the adhensives aint working anymore (not to mention that those left a sticky feeling on my fingers but they just aint wanna stick to the plastic!).
